Located in the rolling hills of Northumberland County on Rice Lake, Ontario, Canada

Our 2,3 and 4 bedroom clean, well spaced cottages are equipped with full kitchens including a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and most common utensils. Each cottage has a deck, picnic table and fire pit. You can purchase wood at the store and rent a barbecue if you wish. Beds are made with linens, blanket, pillows and comforter. Each cottage has a pull out couch or futon in the living area. Bedding for these is not provided nor are towels and paper products. Cottages have a 19" tv and get about 4 local stations. New this year is the availability of wireless internet service.

For family fun you can swim, fish or canoe in scenic Rice Lake or take a dip in the pool. During high season, we have weekly turtle races, water-skiing and tube rides as well as fishing derbies for the kids and a family bingo night. Play pool or arcade games in our recreation room or enjoy the basketball and volley ball courts, horse shoe pits & large playground. At night, when the sun sets, take a picture of our beautiful sunset or relax and spend the evening by your campfire in the quiet country atmosphere.

While you're relaxing you'll want to check out our gift shop.  We have an excellent assortment of tee shirts, gifts and souvenirs for very reasonable prices.  Shop for Christmas and birthdays.  There's something for everyone. We also sell basic groceries and Kawartha Dairy ice cream. Treat yourself to an old fashioned milk shake or sundae. If you don't feel like cooking we make a great breakfast as well as burgers, fries and onion rings

Bring your big fish to the store for a weigh in and participate in the weekly big fish contest. Catch the biggest pickerel (walleye), small or large mouth bass and take home a trophy. The annual winners for pickerel, bass, sunfish, bluegill, rock bass, crappie, carp and muskie get a trophy with their name on it that can be picked up on your return to Alpine the following year. All big fish winners are entered into the Rice Lake wide big fish contest.

If a vacation or get-a-way breather is more to your liking, you can visit Lang's Pioneer Village, the Peterborough Lift Locks, Serpent Mounds Provincial Park, Harwood Fish Culture Station or go antique shopping in nearby towns. Within 30 minutes of driving, there are golf courses, harness racing and a gambling casino, cinemas, shopping or dining. This page has links to many area attractions so you can plan your vacation. Toronto is only  90 minutes away.  A day trip can be spent in the big city with all the excitement of the CN Tower, the Toronto Zoo, Science Centre or Canada's Wonderland. 
You can drive or take the train and depend on Toronto's excellent transit system

Some of our guests have been coming to Alpine Resort for 40 years. They started coming with their families and are now bringing their families.

8 pm at the store
$0.50 per card and we play 4 games

THURSDAYS at 2pm
Turtle races at the beach. We supply the turtles. Name your turtle and watch them run.

FRIDAYS at 2pm
Water balloon toss.
Fun for all ages. Be prepared to get wet. The standing record to beat is 54'!
